This session is intended to provide a brief overview of the UK and Canadian planning systems for those considering working abroad. Speakers include planners, who are working in Ireland having previously worked in those jurisdictions.

During the second portion of the morning session, a number of planners working in non-traditional or alternative planning jobs will give talks on their experiences. Speakers include Michael Wall (Barrister working in planning and environmental law), Paddy Matthews (Fáilte Ireland) and Ciara Kellett (EIS Ltd, formerly of Intel) and Shane McLoughney (ESBI).
